TURMERIC BEEF & CABBAGE MEATBALLS

About the Recipe

These Turmeric Beef & Cabbage Meatballs is a powerful anti-inflammatory food. It can help stimulate good digestion and detoxifies the body.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of green cabbage

  • 1.5 -2 lbs. Ground meat

  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp.SDG Turmeric Blend for beef, pork & lamb

  • ½ tbsp. Himalayan Salt (if desired)

  • ½ tbsp Garlic Powder

  • ½ tbsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tsp organic Coconut or Olive Oil

  • 1 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese

  • ½ cup shredded Smoke Provolone Cheese

  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan Cheese

  • 1 - 8 oz. can Tomato Sauce

  • 1- 8 oz can Diced Tomatoes

  • 4 tbsp. Mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic (reserve ½ for mixture)

  • 3 tbsp. Fresh Parsley or Cilantro (chopped) reserve tbsp for garnis

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a bowl add ground meat and shredded cabbage

  3. Add coconut or olive oil to a pan and saute the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Once done, add to the bowl with cabbage and ground meat.

  4. Add Turmeric Spice Blend for beef, pork & lamb, garlic, onion powder, egg and salt.

  5. Mix well with your hands. Separate into equal sized portions and roll into a ball (12 balls). Place in a glass or aluminum pan . Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  6. Take the meatballs out of the oven. Mix together the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Top each meatball with sauce and and then add tablespoon of mixture on top

  7. Bake an additional 15 minutes

  8. Garnish with remaining parsley and Serve


For mixture:

In a bowl, add mayonnaise, cheeses, minced garlic, and parsley. Mix well.


Tasty Tip:


Serve as an appetizer or over angel hair pasta for an appetizing meal.
